Transport costs 'discourage' unemployed renters.

A report on housing assistance has found that one of the biggest work disincentives for unemployed renters and public housing tenants is the cost of public transport. Researchers interviewed 400 unemployed renters and public housing tenants in Sydney and Melbourne on behalf of the Australian Housing and Urban Research Institute.
