$120m vow on Scoresby freeway

Eastern suburbs road users had one last chance to convince the Bracks Government to scrap Scoresby road tolls, Treasurer Peter Costello said yesterday.The warning came as he offered an extra $120 million inducement to build the road as a freeway. Eastern suburbs residents could yet convince the State Government to axe its proposed tollway by sending a protest vote at the October 9 poll, Mr Costello said.
