Town to go car free for a day
Celebrating green transport will be the order of the day in Warwickshire when part of a town becomes car free. A festival will take over Abbey End in Kenilworth later this month to highlight the environmentally-friendly theme.

Pedestrians Take Back The Streets
Leytonstone is gearing up for a car free festival as pedestrians reclaim the streets later this month. Car fumes will be replaced with live bands, comedy acts, cycling displays, a French market and environmental stalls in the town centre on Sunday, September 19, from noon until 7pm. Only in its second year, the car free day is the biggest event of its kind in London. The aim is to raise awareness of the health and environmental benefits of sustainable living and transport by leaving the car in the garage.
