Drivers warned of Great Alpine Rd delays

Closures of the Great Alpine Road , near Tambo Crossing in eastern Victoria, begin today so repair works can be done. VicRoads wants to clear loose rock from above the road so it is not a safety risk for motorists. Drivers may have to wait up to half an hour on weekdays, but there will be no Friday afternoon or weekend closures. VicRoads says local transport and school buses and emergency services have been warned of delays.
