A pose made famous by the Beatles was re-created in Warwickshire to kick-start a walking challenge. Four mayors from the south of the county will each carry a pedometer for a week to dis-cover how many steps they take on their civic duties. Two of the mayors, joined by organisers, mimicked the Fab Four at a pelican crossing, not in Abbey Street, but Bridge Street, Kenilworth. At the end of the seven-day period, starting on Saturday, the mayor who has taken the most steps will receive a prize at the car-free festival day in Abbey End, Kenilworth on Saturday, September 18."
