Faded Beauty

Here's a sneak peek of that lovely Lawrencia road bike we retrieved via the annual Boroondara Hard Waste collection. With a GC1 quadrant shifter and GH-6 Front Dynohub. Wait 'til you see closeups of the 30's post-modernist paint jobbie! fffhooar!!! More pics soon!
...And here's those promised Lawrencia pics on flickr.
(PS. We're famous now, here's the proof!)

I like the way the bar tape kind of melts into the wall.

I've heard there is a bloke in Toowoomba who buys old bikes and adds them to his front fence, i.e. the fence is made of them. Anyone seen it?

That (about the 'bike fence') is marvellous! Obviously, living in Ireland, I'll probably never see it but I'm very impressed. I know a bloke who uses an upturned American football helmet as a hanging basket and I thought that was good. You could probably do it with a cycle helmet but it may not work as well.
